South Kingstown Public Library Teens

March is Teen Tech Month!

March is Teen Tech Month!

Each week, we’ll be posting about teens, technology and of course, the library. Did you know that the library website has lists of great books for when you can’t really find anything to read? How about that the library lets you download audio books to your I-pod? Or that we have a huge DVD and music selection that you can borrow? All for free?

These are just some of the things that the library can offer you!

So, where online can you find the library? You can visit the library’s website at http://www.skpl.org. We also have a Teen Blog (http://www.skplteens.wordpress.com) filled with book suggestions, library programs and fun tidbits about games, movies, books and pop culture….have you heard the rumors about who may play Katniss in the upcoming Hunger Games movie??? Check the blog later this week to find out! Finally, you can search for the “South Kingstown Library’s Teen Central” page on Facebook!

If you are in the library this month, don’t forget to check out our Teen Tech Book display!

And, finally, don’t miss our Teen Tech Sharing Session on March 24th from 3:30-5:00 pm! Have a favorite App? You Tube video? Website? Have questions about downloading audio books or E-books?

Laptops will be available for students in grades 6 and up to share favorite online sites, apps and videos with others! All content shared must be appropriate a middle school audience.
