Books and Music….?

on October 22, 2015

You might not immediately put books and music together. Yes, there are books about music, but what about books with a soundtrack? That’s right, soundtracks are not just for movies anymore! Here a few books that have their own soundtracks (or at the very least, an integral playlist)—and don’t forget, if you love a song, the library  has tons of CDs that you can borrow!

The Duff by Kody Keplinger

Lying Out Loud by Kody Keplinger

Shut Out by Kody Keplinger

Music inspires Keplinger! On her website you’ll find a list of songs that either inspired the writing, or reminded her of the characters in her book. From Oasis, to Jack’s Mannequin and Taylor Swift, there’s a little bit of everything on her playlists. Visit her website to see the full listings!
