Here’s what’s happening this week at the South Kingstown Public Library for teens entering Grades 7 and up:

  • 7th & 8th Grade Guys Read Book Group
  • The 7th & 8th Grade Guys Read Book Group is back! For our first meeting, we will be discussing Malice by Chris Wooding.

Books are available in advance at the Peace Dale Library; new memebers are always welcome.

We will also be choosing what books we will be reading for the rest of the fall meetings! Come and get your suggestions heard! Can’t make it to the meeting? Email any suggestions to Help select the books for the rest of the fall meetings!

  • Friday, October 5th, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Peace Dale Library
  • The Anime/Manga Club
  • Like manga and anime? Students in grades 7 and up are invited to the Anime/Manga Club. We meet twice a month on Fridays to watch Fairy Tale, as well as draw, discuss favorite manga series and other activities!

Our next meetings are 3:30-4:30 p.m. on October 19, and November 2.

Help plan what we should watch and do at future meetings! Snacks will be served. No registration required.

  • Teen Read Week Teen Choice Awards
  • Teen Read Week is October 14-20! Voting is currently going on for the South Kingstown Public Library’s Teen Choice Awards!

What book should be made into a movie?
What book has the best cover?
What book has the best “bad guy”?

Through October 12, visit any South Kingstown Public Library branch and fill out your ballot.

The teen choice winners will be announced on Saturday, October 20th at our Teen Read Week Read-a-Thon Celebration!
